Swedes

or rutabaga

I think swedes can get over looked when it comes to failsafe cooking. They seem boring, but can be full of flavour and bulk out meals. Great as a side dish to your meal or added to stews and casserole. I hope some of these recipes inspire you to grab some swedes next time you are grocery shopping.

HOW TO COOK SWEDE

Swede, or rutabaga, is a seasonal root vegetable with more uses than you might think. Find out how to cook swede, store it, as well as how to prepare it for roasting and other recipe suggestions.
Swede is a good source of fibre and contains vitamins A and C. It is low in fat and also contains has a number of nutrients including calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and manganese.
